MAP-Latin America concentrates its Brazilian activities in the NE of the country.
Partners are located in:

- Caravelas (Bahia state)
MAP’s General Objectives in Brazil:
Increase awareness of mangrove conservation and industrial
shrimp farming issues;- Advocate for the rights of traditional and Afro-indigenous coastal populations while promoting their empowerment;
- Improve and expand networking and experience sharing amongst coastal communities and organizations; and
- Serve as a conduit to voice the concerns of Brazilian grassroots organizations and communities suffering the consequences of mangrove degradation.
