One of the biggest challenges facing MAP is finding core support for its US-based headquarters and regional offices. Like any other organization, it needs capable leadership and staff to carry out its mission. MAP is a lean non-profit. The bulk of its resources support the many programs and projects sponsored throughout the world. This is a growing area of need as people from tropical countries are pressing MAP for help in staving off the degradation of their local mangrove forests.
