This year around 3000 children from 12 nations entered the art contest looking to answer the question “What do the mangroves mean to my community and myself?” As usual, it was difficult to choose the winners, but we feel our juried selection process has resulted in one of our most beautiful calendar to date. Many thanks to all those who took part and we hope you enjoy the 16th edition of the Children’s Art Calendar, as we celebrate MAP’s 25th Anniversary!

This colorful calendar has increased in popularity since its first publication in 2002. The 2017 calendar is our 16th edition. Children from 12 nations entered our contest by answering a simple, but intriguing question: “What do the mangroves mean to my community and myself?” The outcome has been one of our most beautiful calendar to date and we would like to thank all those who participated and congratulate those whose art was selected for this years calendar.
