View the wonderful artworks submitted to the Children’s Calendar Art Contest
After 20 years, the Children’s Mangrove Art Contest and Calendar continues to connect children from all corners of the Earth with mangrove forests through an educational and creative competition. It is an opportunity for the younger generation to feel a connection to the natural world and learn about the vital role mangroves play, both for communities and for our environment. Thank you to all the organizations, teachers, students, and families that participated this year. From the 350 images we received, we chose 13 winners to be featured in the Children’s International Mangrove Art Calendar 2023. Their artwork graphically depicts communities and wildlife interacting in mangrove habitats with great pictorial and artistic talent. In addition, we have selected other beautiful artwork that is included in this virtual gallery. We hope you enjoy viewing the images as much as we enjoyed receiving them!
ORDER YOUR 2023 CALENDAR!
This year we received 350 submissions, aged between 7 and 16, from 36 countries. The artworks entered were incredibly stunning and expressive and have resulted in one of our most beautiful calendars to date. This year we’ve gone that little bit further with the calendar. Using soy-based inks, the calendars were printed on FSC-certified recycled paper to produce an earth-friendly product. Many thanks to all those who took part in this year’s activities! Join us in our mission to educate, enlighten and empower the youth of today across the globe so that mangroves, and our planet, have a sustainable future!
