BELIZE – In the heart of Belize, a remarkable initiative is taking root—the Mangrove Friendly Development Challenge. This inspiring competition is not just about winning awards; it’s about celebrating local heroes who are championing the conservation of mangroves.

GLOBAL – The Best Practice Guidelines for Mangrove Restoration is a joint product developed by the Global Mangrove Alliance and the Blue Carbon Initiative and led by the University of Queensland, Conservation International, Wetlands International, Blue Marine Foundation and the International Blue Carbon Institute, along with dozens of mangrove scientists and user groups across the world.

SENEGAL -Villages, isolated and far from traditional supply networks, rely heavily on mangrove wood for cooking, which contributes to deforestation and weakens the local ecosystem. Thanks to these shops, residents now have access to butane gas and improved stoves , thus reducing their environmental impact while improving their living conditions.
