URGENT NOTICE – Please SIGN: Keep Deutsche Bahn out of Amazonia!

Deutsche Bahn must not participate in the GPM rail and port project in the Amazon rainforest of Brazil

BRAZIL – A destructive rail and port project is taking shape in Brazil that could have a massive impact on Amazonia. If it goes ahead, it will open up a huge swath of the Brazilian heartland to agribusiness, mining and logging. Millions of tons of soy and iron ore will be shipped to China, Europe and the United States. The forest, coastal mangroves, wildlife and local communities – Indigenous people and Quilombola, the descendants of formerly enslaved people from Africa – will suffer.
