USA – Earth Friends has partnered with Mangrove Action Project to provide free downloads of a mangrove teacher’s guide for children age 3-8 years. Earth Friends provides preschool through early elementary teachers with content and environmental education for early childhood professional development trainings.

SURINAME – The Protection, Restoration, and Sustainable Use of Mangrove Forests (PRSUMF) project recently  held a Youth Awareness Session with children from Children’s Home Gaytrie. As one of UNDP’s core principles to leave no one behind, the Children’s Home Gaytrie, which provides shelter to disenfranchised children, was chosen to ensure their inclusion in educational and environmental awareness initiatives.

UAE – IUCN World Conservation Congress is a once-every-four-years gathering of nature conservation experts, leaders and decision-makers from around the world.

BRAZIL – Thanks to a strong set of policies and the collective efforts of enterprises, NGOs, coastal communities, government institutions, and researchers, Brazilian mangrove ecosystems benefit from protection and management.

USA – It was during a high-level roundtable held recently during New York Climate Week that leading voices and partners called for a more unified approach to protecting and managing coral reefs and mangroves that are “ecologically and functionally connected.”

GLOBAL – To expand the global pipeline of investable mangrove projects, the Mangrove Breakthrough is launching a call for Expressions of Interest. This initial step will help identify high-potential initiatives for early engagement, technical support, and eventual inclusion in global investment platforms and showcases.
