The Bay of Jiquilisco, located on the Pacific coast of El Salvador, is home to one of the largest and most diverse mangrove forests in Central America. The mangroves in the bay cover approximately 25,000 hectares and are critical to the health of the bay’s ecosystem, as well as the well-being of the local communities. Despite their importance, the mangroves in the bay are still under threat.
The film has been screened across 16 International film festivals, including receiving Winner of Best Documentary at Environmental Film & Screenplay, Winner of Community Impact Award at Trees & Seas Film Festival and Honorable Mentions at the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival and MY HERO Film Festival.
