Ecuador invests four million dollars in mangrove conservation
ECUADOR – The Government of Ecuador announced an investment of four million dollars to strengthen the protection and conservation of mangrove ecosystems. This model grants community organizations the responsibility to conserve and sustainably use the mangroves, reinforcing the shared responsibility between the State and local communities.

Women root mangrove conservation in economic opportunity on Cambodian island
CAMBODIA – Seab Sophea leads a team of five women caretakers who manage a mangrove nursery. They’ve received training from the Fishing Cat Ecological Enterprise (FCEE) to learn advanced techniques to grow more than 14 species of mangrove trees for restoration as well as ecotourism activities.
