Children’s Mangrove Art Contest

For 24 years, this contest has raised awareness and provided youth with a platform to highlight the importance of mangrove forests and the challenges they face.

This year, we received 350 remarkable pieces from 34 countries, each representing the artist’s personal exploration of mangroves through field trips, classroom lessons, or independent study. Their work addresses key questions: Why are mangroves vital for local communities? What threats do they face today?

The participants illustrated the vital role of mangroves in their communities, demonstrating both creativity and a deep understanding of environmental conservation. The winning artworks were featured in our annual art calendar, showcasing the passion and talent of these young artists while amplifying awareness of mangroves’ critical role.
