Dr. Johns is an aquatic toxicologist and ecologist with over 40 years of experience in ecological risk assessment and site restoration planning. He has led numerous large-scale, multidisciplinary environmental investigations, providing strategic leadership, technical direction, and regulatory negotiation support. Earlier in his career, he was a principal investigator at the EPA’s National Research Laboratory, publishing peer-reviewed research on contaminant effects on aquatic life. In 2000, he founded Windward Environmental and served as Managing Partner for 21 years, helping grow the company into a nationally recognized firm.
